When I spotted this pink skirt at Zara, I thought it looked playful and stylish. The material is thick enough for winter and the cut and length make it a great transition piece for Spring. Since the skirt is pink and playful, I knew that depending on how I styled it, it could look "girlish," not exactly the look I wanted. 

To keep the look sophisticated I paired it with neutral pieces. The over-the-knee boots offset the playful pink by giving the outfit an edge.  In styling a pink skirt, I would stick with neutrals for the rest of your outfit and use jewelry, shoes, a bag, etc. to give your outfit edgy sophistication.
